GOD’S WORK. OUR HANDS.
On September 13, Saint Peter friends and family wrote handwritten letters to veterans, collected bags of trash, completed projects at church, and lifted up prayers for people who need it. We’re grateful to have the chance to serve, love, and encourage the community!
TOGETHER WITH TANZANIA
We had a beautiful day on Saturday, September 12, for the 18th Annual Together with Tanzania 5K. If you ran, walked, donated, sponsored, or came to socialize and enjoy food at the event, thank you!
If you showed up on Saturday to set up tables and chairs, make coffee, check in race participants, perform with the band, or help in any other way, thank you for your labor to help make the event a success! A special thanks goes to Jesse Knoll, who came to read a story about Masai giraffes. If you weren’t there, you can find "Juma the Giraffe" in the Saint Peter library and check out the (almost) life-sized giraffe poster hanging in Fellowship Hall to learn the important message of this book. Another book, "Naserian of the Maasai," has also been added to the library to teach our children what it is like for a young Tanzanian girl to go to school.
And it’s never too late to contribute to our fundraising activities! You can still drop a check in the offering with “Tanzania” in the memo line or make an online donation at stplc.org. There is a special line for Tanzanian Health Ministries. We even have some leftovers of our beautiful 5K T-shirts for those would like one!

This multigenerational event allowed Saint Peter friends and family to unplug, re-center, and reconnect with community and creator!
DINNER WITH FRIENDS - SEPT 23
High school youth and adults gather round tables just like Jesus. To love, to play, to learn and be — there is a place for you! This month we are at Rhys and Quincy’s house. Connect with Bryan Jaster (bjaster@stplc.org) for the address.
SPECIAL FAITH EXPLORERS SERIES
At 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30th and October 7th, Faith Explorers will watch the 2025 documentary "Finding Musana." It is a story about a Ugandan organization that helps vulnerable children build a better future. Then on October 14th we welcome special guest, Wanji Mukunga from Kenya, friend of StPLC member, Vicky Simpson. She will describe her work in helping children learn and grow through the PAAV-Gitombo Community School. Please join!

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.
