GONE PHISHIN’
Email scams are on the rise. Be cautious if you receive an email invitation or request you didn’t expect. Don’t click on any links, and reach out via the phone or in person to double-check!
FOR ALL THE SAINTS
Next Sunday, November 1, is All Saints Day. During worship we will be remembering those who in the past year have entered the Church Triumphant. We invite you to include the names and pictures of those who’d you like to remember by emailing them to Arielle (awilson@stplc.org).
STEWARDSHIP SEASON IS HERE!
Stewardship season is an exciting invitation for each of us to help shape the future of Saint Peter. This fall’s appeal is guided by the theme “Room at the Table,” inspired by the parable of the wedding banquet in Matthew 14. There is a place for everyone, and there is room for all.
We hope that together our congregation will increase its financial commitments by $33,000 next year to support new ministry initiatives including:
• Enhanced technology capabilities in the Worship Center
• Hire a part-time staff person to manage 20 hours of bookkeeping work a month.
• Continue to cover rising expenses, including increases in staff health insurance costs.
We’re also excited about a fourth stretch goal that reflects our call to make room at the table for all: contributing $7,000 in 2027 to the New Beginnings Worshiping Community, an ELCA synodically authorized worshiping community inside the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility.
Whatever your financial commitment, we invite all 103 Saint Peter households to participate online or on Commitment Sunday on November 8 by confidentially sharing their 2027 giving plans. Thank you for all you bring to our community through your time, talents, financial support, and loving presence.
This year, let’s make room for more at the table, welcoming new visitors, supporting new staff, and growing ministries beyond our walls.
THANK YOU!
COFFEE AND CONVERSATION: OCT 25
Grab a cup of coffee with the Congregation Council and shape where we go in 2027!
FAITHFUL, INFORMED, AND ENGAGED
In his August, 2026 letter, the Rev. Yehiel Curry, Presiding Bishop of the ELCA, reminds us that "Our public witness is rooted in faith, guided by honesty and expressed through active citizenship ... Every act of informed participation, every conversation marked by grace and every vote cast with prayerful discernment is an opportunity to bear witness to God’s love in the world."
This election season, how can we become empowered and equipped for responsible civic engagement shaped by our faithful values? To help, the ELCA has produced a series of election-year tools and guides. You can find them linked in the Bishop's letter here.
May we all become more "faithful, informed and engaged as disciples of Jesus seeking the well-being of our neighbors and the common good of the communities God has entrusted to our care."
ADVENT DEVOTIONAL
Advent is a time to slow down, make room for hope, and remember the light that Christ brings into our lives. Help us create this year’s Saint Peter Community Advent Devotional!
It’s easy to participate — simply send Arielle (awilson@stplc.org) a favorite Advent tradition, song, Scripture passage, prayer, photo, drawing, or anything else that helps make Advent meaningful to you. We’d love to include your contribution!
FAITH AT TIMES OF CRISES: NOV 18
When: November, 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Montview Presbyterian Church (1980 Dahlia St.) Interested in carpooling? Contact Bryan (bjaster@stplc.org).
This will be an evening of honest conversation about what it means to respond to the crises shaping our world through a faith perspective and how we can promote justice and invest in hope for tomorrow. Learn and participate in a powerful dialogue, and ask the questions on your mind about the situations we are facing right now. Join us at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church to hear five theologians, scholars, writers, and faith leaders from Palestine and the United States in conversation.
Space is limited, and registration is encouraged at brightstarsbethlehem.org/events-recordings/montview.

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.
