FIRST COMMUNION INSTRUCTION
A group of faith adventurers enjoyed a Holy Communion instruction class on June 28. They learned about God’s gift of God’s grace, why Holy Communion is important, and how Christ comes to us in this meal. Participants also decorated a communion chalice to use in worship!

TANZANIAN DISCOVERY TOUR 2026
In July, Saint Peter members will visit Tanzania for the third time! The trip will include visits to many of the medical missions supported by our annual 5K race, including Selian Hospital, Kafika House, and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre’s (KCMC) Brain Cancer Initiative. There will be an opportunity to witness a nursing school graduation ceremony and attend a church service conducted in Swahili. A feature of this trip is learning about several projects that promote justice for the women of Tanzania.
This trip is unlike any other that we have done in the past. Everything has been planned for us by Briana Pokorny from Opportunity Builds Africa (formerly Operation Bootstrap Africa), and the agenda has been tweaked by our dear friend Linda Jacobson. And both of these ladies will accompany us for the entire trip!
Saint Peter members Pastor Dan Burris, Terri and Andy Mohrhaus, and Eric, Kate, Gavin, and Lauren Waggoner will be joined by Kate’s mother, Anne Pyle, and niece, Kaylie Broden, as well as a family group from Boulder. Julie Kraft and her sons Dean and Stuart are supporters of the ALMC nursing school and have visited Tanzania before.
This fall, help us raise funds for these amazing ministries at the 18th Annual “We Run So They May Walk” 5k race on September 12 and watch for opportunities to learn about our experiences during Sundays at Saint Peter. But first, join us at worship on July 12 to offer your blessings to the group!
COVENANT CUPBOARD UPDATES
We served about 170 households (589 individuals) on June 26! We're looking for volunteers on Fridays to help load food into cars. Contact Laura (guthals@msn.com) for more details. Thank you!
ALL TOGETHER HIKING
We hiked, hopped and splashed at Castlewood Canyon on June 27. Stay tuned for the next All Together event!
THANK YOU FROM THE DOEHLING AND PEQUETTE FAMILIES
Dear Congregation of Saint Peter Lutheran Church,
Our family wants to express our deepest gratitude for the beautiful dedication of the new baptismal font in memory of our mom, Zoe Doehling. Saint Peter held such a special place in both my mom and dad's hearts, and seeing her legacy honored in a way that connects so deeply to the life and faith of the church means more to us than words can say. To know that future generations will begin their faith journeys at a font dedicated to her is a beautiful, comforting tribute that our family will always cherish.
Thank you to everyone involved in organizing the dedication, for your prayers, and for your continued love and support.
With warm regards,
The Doehling and Pequette Families

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.
