MANY JOURNEYS, ONE SEASON: A LENTEN DEVOTIONAL

Everyone can participate — all ages, all abilities, all levels of experience.
You’re invited to contribute to the 2026 StPLC Lenten Devotional. Each sign-up spot includes a short scripture and a gentle prompt.

There’s no “right” way to do this. Spend a few minutes with the text and simply notice what stands out to you. Then respond in any way that feels comfortable, such as:

  • a photo (taken on your phone — no photography skills needed!)

  • a word or short sentence

  • a few lines of reflection

  • a simple prayer

  • or any combination of the above

Your contribution can be very short. One sentence is enough. A snapshot is enough. Whether you’re at home, on the road, inside or outside, you’re on the journey. Quiet, simple responses are more than welcome. This devotional celebrates the ordinary, holy moments of everyday life, shared by people at all stages of faith and life. Your voice and perspective belong here.

Sign up here. Please send your contribution to awilson@stplc.org by February 8.

Give the gift of life this Valentine’s Day! All donors who come to give blood on February 14, using code GIVELOVE-2026-V when scheduling, will receive a $25 Rewards gift card* in appreciation (*Terms and conditions apply; see vitalant.org/FebDonorGift).

WILL YOU BE MY GAL-EN-TINE?

Calling all gals! Come celebrate SISTERLY LOVE on Saturday, February 7th at 9 a.m. Send heartshaped notes to someone on the prayer list, and enjoy great coffee, pastries, chocolate and conversation, and assemble a 320-piece box of chocolates jigsaw puzzle. Plus, discover your Secret Prayer Sisters! Contact Karen Clair (303-667-1316) if you can't make the event and would like to participate in Secret Prayer Sisters 2026.

SOUP-ER BOWL OF CARING

On Sunday, February 8th (Super Bowl Sunday), Saint Peter Lutheran Church will join congregations across the country for the Souper Bowl of Caring — an outreach focused on fighting hunger. We will collect monetary donations to support Covenant Cupboard. Our middle and high school youth will share short hunger-related facts during the service, along with updates on our giving throughout worship. Let’s turn SOUPer Bowl Sunday into a win for our community!

THE BAPTISM OF ABIGAIL MARIE SCHWAB

We welcomed Abigail to the family of faith on Sunday, January 25!

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS

The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD WITH AN StPLC GOOGLE REVIEW!

If you haven’t already left a review online, please take a couple of minutes this week to share with the online world what you think is special about our South Denver church. It’s free to do and will only take you a couple of minutes. You can find instructions from Google here. You can find the Saint Peter listing here.
