What being "CrossFit" means to Gracie

After her experiences at Rainbow Trail 2025, Gracie wrote this reflection:

This year at rainbow Trail, the theme of the week was "CrossFit".  To be CrossFit in the exercise world means to do lots of workouts with high intensity including various movements and exercises. I got that part. But when it came to being CrossFit in a religious standpoint, I had no clue. Over the beginning of the week I kept on thinking about what CrossFit means to me.

Then hike day came around. We were in the first couple miles and I fell. I scraped my knee pretty bad and I wasn’t feeling too great. But then my friends helped me up off the ground, and my counselor helped me wipe off my knee and tie my shoes. We all finished the 12 mile hike together. I finally had realized what CrossFit means. I had this huge community around me always helping me feel better when I was hurt or sad and I’d connected with them, as well as connecting with God. To be CrossFit in religion means to stay with God and stay close to Him even during the hard rough times in your life. Even when you’re hurt, scared, confused, or lost, you will always have a community of people who will help you stay CrossFit with God.

This week at Rainbow Trail has been one of my favorite weeks ever. I don’t think any year has beat it. My community was so strong around me. I felt so supported and loved. I made so many new friends and connected with old ones. Here’s a picture of my community and I during one of the most fun days at camp. I hope you are CrossFit too today!
