March 25, 2026 StPLC Events Update

The content of this post (which is automatically delivered to email subscribers) includes a summary of the latest issue of Saint Peter’s Our Life Together (weekly newsletter). You can find a link to the latest issue by clicking here.

Tonight (March 25) is the final soup supper of the Lenten season! Get ready for Holy Week: take a yard sign and invite friends and neighbors to experience worship at Saint Peter. Also, sign up in the narthex to stay awake and pray April 2-3! Sign up for 30-minute increments. People will be on site to welcome you.

It’s a Branch out Brunch! Join us after Worship THIS SUNDAY, March 29, for breakfast burritos, to learn about the trip, and for youth-led entertainment. Your donation will help us to: serve the Salt Lake City community, connect with new people of faith, and see first-hand what it looks like to be “sent into God’s world to be a reflection of Christ.” Can’t make it? You are still invited to support our youth! Visit stplc.org/donate to make a contribution to the upcoming “Service Learning Camp.” Thank you!

Hard to believe, but it’s time to make those Day Camp plans for summer 2026! Share with friends and neighbors! Day Camp blends friends, faith, and a lot of fun.

VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA HYGIENE DRIVE

Volunteers of America Colorado recently opened the Lakewood Navigation Center, a bold step forward in addressing homelessness with dignity and accountability. It is the ONLY shelter along the I-70 corridor west of Denver and east of Grand  Junction.

The shelter is looking for donations of hygiene products for both men and women: body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, feminine hygiene products, etc. From April 5 through April 26, you may drop your donation in the bin provided in the narthex at Saint Peter. Thank you!

WHO YOU WALKIN’ WITH?

Save the date for Wholly Kicks: April 19 at 11:30 a.m. We will lunch together at Saint Peter then carpool to sort 1,500 pairs of shoes together to bring dignity and new shoes to kids all over Denver.

SAVE THE DATE: STPLC RETREAT AT SKY RANCH SEPT 18-20

We're planning a church retreat at Sky Ranch! Please put in on your calendar! Check out skyranchcolorado.org. Want to help create the adventure? Contact Bryan for more information (bjaster@stplc.org).

IMAGINE MORE: 2027 ELCA YOUTH GATHERING

Our youth are getting excited about our 2026 Service Learning Camps (reach out to Bryan to learn more!), and in the back of our minds we are counting down to Imagine More at the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering to join thousands in Minneapolis! The 2027 Gathering’s theme is Imagine More! Based on Ephesians 3:20, the Gathering will be a space for young people to Imagine More: love, welcome, joy, courage, and grace. Interested in getting your teen connected? Reach out to Bryan Jaster (bjaster@stplc.org).

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS

The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD WITH AN StPLC GOOGLE REVIEW!

If you haven’t already left a review online, please take a couple of minutes this week to share with the online world what you think is special about our South Denver church.
