BIBLE STUDY: HEALING AND DISABILITY (AFTER WORSHIP AUG 9, 16, 23)

Join Allegra Reiber after worship (Aug 9, 16 and 23).

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him” (John 9:3). Jesus the Great Healer reverses the physical situation of many people with various disabilities, from seizures and sickness to paralysis and impaired vision. So how do we understand God’s relationship to the disabled and healing? Join us as we explore how God speaks to us about our created bodies, Jesus’ healing ministry, and what disability might mean to God. Together, we will discover life-giving Christian perspectives on ability, body, healing, and justice, and how we can reflect Christ’s love and ensure everyone, including those with disabilities, has a centered place in the life of the church that affords dignity and breaks down divisions.

9AM SATURDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Join Tom Hacker on Saturday mornings for Bible Study. Tom will lead a class in the Narthex beginning at 9:00 a.m. The group will soon be discovering their Spiritual Gifts.

SAVE YOUR POP TOPS

The Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for many folks with hospitalized children. The Pop Tab Recycling Program is an easy way to support this valuable resource. Simply pull off your beverage can tabs or soup tops (anything with a pull tab!) and bring them to church! We will collect them in a large jar in the narthex for delivery and recycling.
