LENTEN AND HOLY WEEK CALENDAR

Our walk through the Lonesome Valley of Lent begins today. Observe Ash Wednesday, tonight at 7PM at Saint Peter.

ASH WEDNESDAY AND VALENTINE’S DAY?

It may seem illogical to combine these two, and yet, since they are on the same day this year, let’s take a look at some connections!

•Throughout Lent, we journey with Jesus as he shows us what love in action looks like.
•Valentine’s Day at its core is a celebration of love.
•The Ash Wednesday cross of ashes can remind us of the baptismal cross of oil. From LOVE we come, and to LOVE we return.

Our Sunday Funday children tied fleece heart-shaped pillows to be given to a chosen Saint Peter person with whom they feel a special connection. Maybe you received a heart or a Valentine’s goodie bag. Use these sweet gifts as a reminder to reflect Christ by focusing on connections and relationships, while spreading love wherever we go.
