Mark And Linda Jacobson Documentary Now Online

In partnership with Tanzanian leaders, they’ve developed the Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre, started the Widow’s Might craft project and more. Their powerful story is featured in the new documentary, Kuambatana, which means accompaniment in Kiswahili. The 30-minute video premiered on the ELCA Facebook page several weeks ago, but it is now available on YouTube here.

Family Ministries: Children’s Message Series Continues

For the next two weeks during the Children’s Message, Saint Peter will continue its series on Women of the Bible. Plus, many of Saint Peter’s youth will be storytellers!  Here’s our schedule of the selected women and themes:

  • May 9 - Mary Magdalene, Faithful, as told by Sara Lancaster and Maiah Howie

  • May 16 - Mary, Mother of God, Trusting

Join us as we learn about these strong women of faith, as told by our own strong youth (and some adults) of faith!  At the end of each skit, you will hear from one of our kids who will apply the message to their life experience. You can download the companion coloring pages here. And if you missed last Sundays’ message about Ruth, click here for the message.

See Miss Mary share more about the values of Family Ministries at Saint Peter Lutheran Church in her latest video, this time sharing what the “L” in “STPLC” stands for. Click here to watch it on YouTube or visit www.stplc.org/family-ministries to find all of Miss Mary’s videos.

40th Anniversary Celebration Recap

Saint Peter wrapped up its three-week anniversary celebration of our community’s 40th anniversary. The official party is over, but many of the items set in motion will carry on. Here’s a recap of some activities and ways you can continue to participate.

  • In all, nine people contributed petitions for the April 25th Prayer of God’s People. It turned out beautifully. The full text is printed on the following page and also on the Saint Peter blog here.

Finally, did you get your Saint Peter hat or visor? It’s not too late! Stop by the church building and pick one (or two) up from the bin outside the east doors. Remember to wear them around town and to future church events.
