March 8, 2021, StPLC Events Update

Now You Can Watch Worship On YouTube Live

The Tech Team has instituted a new streaming software that allows us to broadcast each week’s worship service in real-time on YouTube. Now you can celebrate with Saint Peter from your mobile device or on your smart TV through the YouTube app. Of course, you can still log in to participate via Zoom or Facebook Live like you’ve been doing, too. You have choices!

If YouTube is your preference, visit the StPLC channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFL-JqMk_BHZilXIAFxFRRQ or go to YouTube.com and search for “Saint Peter Lutheran Church Greenwood Village.” While you’re there, be sure to “subscribe.” That’ll make it easier to find our videos in the future.

Church Chicks’ Delores Project March Meal

The Church Chicks thought it would be fun to make Corned Beef with cabbage for our friends at TDP on March 20th. Food items should be delivered to Jo's home on the 13th and 14th. Cooked food items should be delivered to Annie's home on or before the 20th.

All are welcome to contribute, whether you are a Church Chick or not! If you have questions, contact Annie Heath or Jo Kurowski.

Remember, you are JUST LIKE JESUS!

  • Seashell to remind you of your Baptism. Put the date and/or location on it.

  • A handful of Goldfish or Swedish fish

  • Seeds, potting soil and a cup, or a premade growing kit that can be found at Dollar Store

  • Votive candle and some stick-on bling, if you'd like!

New Video: What Does the “P” in StPLC Stand For?

Miss Mary has posted a new video all about the letter P! This is the third video in the series that explains what StPLC stands for (in addition to Saint Peter Lutheran Church). It’s embedded here or you can always visit www.stplc.org/family-ministries to find all the videos and info from Miss Mary and Family Ministries.

Faith Forum Dialogues On Sexuality

The conversations on sexuality during the Faith Forum hour continue. You can find the reading for this last Sunday, week 5, here (“What Does It Mean To Be Transgender”?) https://bit.ly/3dZU1Jf and the reading for next Sunday, week 6, here (“Creating An Authentically Affirming Community") https://bit.ly/3e2GDnF.

The readings are insightful but not required as each session also starts with a video to get the conversation started. All are welcome to join whether you have attended so far or not. These conversations are always best when we have a diverse group of men and women to share.

Ron Leighton Memorial Scholarship Fund

With the passing of our good friend and longtime Saint Peter member Ron Leighton, Ron left us with a gift. In lieu of flowers, his family asked that funds be donated to the Saint Peter Scholarship Fund — a ministry that seeks to support those of us who are beginning times of study beyond high school. In turn, our congregation has recently decided to rename this fund the “Ron Leighton Memorial Scholarship Fund.” This is a fitting way to allow his passion for learning to continue shaping our life together.

If you would like to honor Ron and support this ministry, visit www.StPLC.org and look for the “donate” button in the footer to make a contribution.
