Cancer...Now What?

If you or a friend have received this diagnosis, there is a book available for you to help navigate this difficult reality. Kenneth C. Haugk, PhD drew on what he learned in walking alongside his wife during her battle with cancer.

“I like that it has very short chapters and the title sums up the chapter, so it can be a quick resource.” and “I found the chapters dealing with advocating for yourself, really talking to the Dr. about what’s working and what’s not working empowering…”

“….. it would be good to have as soon as you get the diagnosis before you have decided to “tell those outside the family”.   It has chapters dealing with that, and the shock of the initial diagnosis etc. But in my case, and I’m sure for many people, I might have asked for the book before I was ready to “tell” of my diagnosis.” Kay Gerhart, member Saint Peter Lutheran Church.

Saint Peter has these books available, please contact the church office or any Stephen Minister.
