What's Happening At Saint Peter This October
Church Chicks Kick-Off Luncheon Saturday, October 6th
We truly believe in "strength in numbers," and that is why we want our Church Chicks community to grow. All women of Saint Peter: please plan to join us on Saturday, October 6th, at Saint Peter for a catered luncheon in honor of you. This is a time for fellowship and growing relationships. At our luncheon, we will discuss upcoming events in more detail. If you want to meet other women from our community, this is a must-attend luncheon. All are welcomed!!! If you can attend, please RSVP to Annie Heath at email@example.com. Or sign up online by clicking on the following link: https://tinyurl.com/cluncheon.
Christian Elevator Speech
Please come join the conversation on Sunday mornings between 9:40 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the Narthex! This month, we are discussing some of the unconventional ideas from Lutheran thought leaders and working toward crafting our own individual elevator speeches about our faith. Church Chicks will provide snacks. See you there!
It’s Trunk or Treat Time
Join us Sunday, October 14th for some Halloween fun beginning at NOON following the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Lunch will be provided along with a message on "Giving." Start planning your trunk design and costumes now!
Congregation Communication Changes
Some new changes to the Saint Peter staff to announce. Barb Hinchey and Sara Lancaster have created a new congregation communications team and will be taking over all weekly newsletter, website, and social media responsibilities at the church.
That means, whenever you have articles and/or photos to contribute to Our Life Together, please email those details to firstname.lastname@example.org. To include an announcement in the coming Sunday's weekly newsletter, all materials will need to be received by the end of the day on Tuesday.
Last, but not least, a big thank you to Carly Gerhart and Lynn Sherpe for designing the weekly newsletter every week for the last couple of years.
Christmas Stocking Needs
Do you like shopping? For bargains? We could use your help finding small, practical and fun items to stuff Christmas stockings for the 300+ children of our clients.
We have a shopping list for you to take with you on your next trip to your favorite big box or dollar store. Have fun and return your finds to the basket in the Narthex by the first Sunday in November. Thank you for sharing your blessings with our Covenant Cupboard families.
