Request from Pastor Dave: "Getting to Know You..."
I have a photo directory that Saint Peter published, and it includes a picture of my family and me. You should see us: we look great! I have a full head of brown hair, and our two sons (one a preschooler and one in elementary school) look so young and cute. Problem is: my hair is almost entirely grey now, and our little boys are 19 and 23 years old. Other than stirring my feelings of nostalgia, that photo directory really isn’t of much use any more.
A congregational directory can be a wonderful ministry tool. When I was first called to become the Pastor of Saint Peter, I was given one. I prayed through it every day in the weeks leading up to my arrival in Greenwood Village. It helped me to develop relationships with the people in that directory so much more quickly.
I share this with you because we are planning to publish a new congregational photo directory and we need your help.
This edition will be self published, and available very soon. Our hope is to include for each participating household (whether you are members or not) a list of family members, a mailing address, a home phone number and a picture. But we need your help to make it possible. Beginning Sunday, June 10th, there will be a table in the Narthex, with volunteers on hand to help you do the following:
- Check to see that the information we currently have about you and your family is correct.
- Let us know what additional contact information (email address or cell phone number) you would allow us to share in this directory.
- Provide us with a picture of your family, or allow us to take one for you.
A congregational directory can be a wonderful ministry tool. Will you help us create a new one in 2018? I would be personally grateful if you would.
