December 17, 2018 StPLC Events Update

Stewardship Commitment Forms

If you have not yet made a 2019 financial commitment to Saint Peter, please either download this PDF file, complete the form and email it to Lynn Sherpe at as an attachment or complete an online form or click here to access the online Stewardship Commitment form. Your information will be kept confidential and your statement of intent will only be viewed by the Financial Secretary. We appreciate you making your commitment as soon as possible so that we can complete the 2019 budgeting process. Click here for the latest report showing our progress.


Christmas at Saint Peter

First, here’s the worship schedule and church office schedule for December.

  • Holden Evening Prayer Worship on Wednesday, December 19th at 7:00 p.m.

  • Sunday, December 23rd Communion Services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. No Sunday School or Faith Forum.

  • Christmas Eve Worship Services at 4:00 p.m. (especially for young families), 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

  • Christmas Day Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. featuring a string quartet.

  • December 30th Communion Services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. No Sunday School or Faith Forum.

  • The church office is closed December 24th through January 1st and reopens on January 2nd.

Second, there have been a number of community service-oriented activities at the church and elsewhere by our ministry groups this holiday season. Thanks to all who shared photos!

Handel's Messiah, a Community Sing-Along on December 21st

Hope United Methodist Church, The Colorado Mormon Chorale and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will present this community event with full orchestra and soloists at Hope United Methodist Church Sanctuary (5101 S Dayton St, Greenwood Village CO 80111) on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Suggested $10 donation to benefit the Village Resource Center. Global Church Sunday January 6th

Global Church Sunday is on January 6th (both worship services). We’ll gather for two festive celebrations, including global songs of praise, prayers for world-wide ministry, opportunities to interact with ELCA missionary alums and some time between services to reflect on our relationships with ministries throughout the world.


Spiritual Practices + 21-Day Prayer Challenge

We hope you enjoyed exploring the spiritual practice exercises covered these last few weeks in Faith Forum. We’ve included information from the handouts on the Saint Peter blog for you to reference.

With these spiritual practices in mind, Jeanne Maloney and Pastor Dave are inviting you to take part in a 21-Day Prayer Challenge starting January 7th. If you are interested in enhancing your prayer life, take a moment to learn more.

Theater and Theology
