Stewardship Commitment Forms
There are now two ways to make a financial commitment to Saint Peter for the coming year. You can download this PDF file, complete the form and email it to Lynn Sherpe at email@example.com as an attachment or complete an online form. Your information will be kept confidential and your statement of intent will only be viewed by the Financial Secretary.
Click here to access the online Stewardship Commitment form. We appreciate you making your commitment as soon as possible so that we can complete the 2019 budgeting process.
Holden Evening Prayer Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Advent is in full swing. Worship Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center every Wednesday of the season. As we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ into our lives, let’s take time to quietly and reverently draw near to the promise of the coming Messiah. All season long we will look closely at key prophets from the Old Testament to explore what they have to say about faithfulness, and how they prepare us to welcome Christ into our lives.
If you wish to purchase a poinsettia to be placed around the altar at Christmas, complete an envelope found in the pew pocket in the Worship Center. You may designate your poinsettia for the honor or memory of someone, or to the glory of God. Just fill out the information on the outside of the envelope, include your $10 donation and place it in the offering plate. The last day to purchase will be December 16th.
Faith Forum: Spiritual Practices
For the next few Sundays, we will continue to explore various Spiritual Practices that bring us closer to knowing and feeling God’s presence in our lives. If you missed a previous week’s Faith Forum discussion, check the Saint Peter blog for summaries on the concepts, like this post on Lectio Divina, a spiritual practice covered on November 25th.
Faith Forum is Sunday mornings from 9:40 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. All adults, high school students and middle school student are invited to participate.
Introducing Monthly Faith Focus
Beginning this month, Jeanne Maloney (Faith Formation) will publish a Monthly Faith Focus in the Sunday Weekly and on the Saint Peter blog that you can easily reference to use at home when you meet as a family, when you meet with a group of faithful friends or when you meet with your Saint Peter ministry teams. This month’s Faith Focus looks at Awe & Wonder and Psalm 95: 3–5. Take a look at the article on the Saint Peter blog and let Jeanne know what you think!
Global Church Sunday January 6th
Global Church Sunday is on January 6th (both worship services). We’ll gather for two festive celebrations, including global songs of praise, prayers for world-wide ministry, opportunities to interact with ELCA missionary alums and some time between services to reflect on our relationships with ministries throughout the world.
