Trunk or Treat on Sunday - Snow or Shine!

Youth & Family Ministries is hosting “Trunk or Treat” on Sunday! Due to the snowy weather, we will likely move the event indoors. Please bring your decorations and costumes, and we will transform the Fellowship Hall into “Table or Treat” following lunch.

How Do You Want to Hear From Saint Peter?

With a new communications team in place here at Saint Peter (communications team = Barb Hinchey and Sara Lancaster), we’d like to know how you want to receive information and updates from the church. Please take a minute to take this quick survey, and tell us what you think!

Christian Elevator Speech

Please come join the conversation again this Sunday morning between 9:40 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the narthex! We will continue the discussion around some of the unconventional ideas from Lutheran thought leaders and working toward crafting our own individual elevator speeches about our faith. Church Chicks will provide snacks. See you there!

Loving God; Loving Neighbor Stewardship Drive

You shall love the Lord your God

with all your heart, and with all your soul,

and with all your mind,

and with all your strength…

[and] you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

[St. Mark 12:30–31]

The Stewardship Team and the Congregation Council are excited to announce this year’s Stewardship Appeal. Under the theme “Loving God; Loving Neighbor,” we will spend five weeks together imagining how our love for God and our love for neighbor can grow in 2019. The Appeal begins Sunday, October 21st, and concludes on Commitment Sunday, which is scheduled for November 18th. We encourage every supporter of Saint Peter to join us each week, and pray daily for this appeal. Our hope is to make 2019 one of the strongest years ever for Saint Peter!

Jubilate Choir to Join in Holy Hammers Fundraiser

A concert to benefit Holy Hammers and Habitat for Humanity is planned for Sunday, November 4th at 3 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church. The StPLC Jubilate Choir will join with other choirs from the area to form a mass choir and bells event that promises to be inspiring for all! There is still time to join the choir for this event – we meet each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. If you want to help, please plan to attend the concert on November 4th.

About Holy Hammers: Holy Hammers is a faith coalition comprised of 11 Lutheran churches in the Denver metro area. They have worked alongside Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver since 1996 to build homes, raise funds, and create awareness about the need for safe, decent, affordable housing in our community. So far, Holy Hammers has been part of building 36 homes. The Holy Hammers coalition is currently sponsoring building #23 at Sheridan Square. It will take approximately 5 months to build the home. A family will be matched with this home at a later date.

Church Chicks Coffee at Panera
