Morning Meditation Ministry
How are we to love God? Crossways, among others, says it is by serving God. So how do we serve this invisible deity? Again, Crossways gives the obvious answer: By serving our visible neighbors. Now Saint Peter’s most visible, and possible needful neighbors, are those either just starting their day or on their way to work during the week. We know from many years of experience that a quiet, spiritual refuge before a hard day is a real blessing. And with our location and existing facilities plus the new labyrinth, we are uniquely blessed to provide this service.
Our existing plan offers a place to pray and or meditate in the beginning of the day and in the middle of the week. We are currently open Tuesday through Thursday during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (these are the times the church is normally closed). Our available resources are the sanctuary and labyrinth (plus coffee). We also have educational materials available and some personal education if requested.
