Stephen Ministers at Saint Peter Lutheran Church provide confidential Christian listening/care to congregational members and others in the community who are hurting; bringing warmth and kindness to those who feel alone; and creating an atmosphere where trust and respect can lead to wholeness. Stephen Ministry answers the call of Jesus: "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." We are called to "bear one another's burdens," and to "accept one another." Jesus wanted us to be doers of the Word, not just hearers.
